USB is an external bus standard used to regulate the connection and communication between computers and external devices.
It is widely used in personal computers, mobile devices and other information and communication products, and extended to photographic equipment, digital television (set-top box), game console and other related fields.
The latest generation is USB 3.1, the transmission speed is 10Gbit/s, the three-stage voltage is 5V/12V/20V, the maximum power supply is 100W, the new Type C plug is no longer divided into positive and negative.
USB devices mainly have the following advantages:
1. It can be hot-plugged. When using the external device, the user does not need to turn it off and start it up again, but directly plug in the USB for use when the computer is working.
2. Easy to carry. Most USB devices are “small, light and thin”, which makes it convenient for users to carry a large amount of data with them. Of course, USB hard drive is the first choice.
3. Unified standards. What everybody is common is the hard disk of IDE interface, mouse keyboard of serial port, and printer scanner of the mouth, but after having USB, these application peripherals can connect with PC with same standard completely, had USB hard disk, USB mouse, USB printer to wait a moment.
4. Multiple devices can be connected. USB usually has multiple ports on personal computers, which can connect several devices at the same time. If connected to a USB HUB with four ports, it can be connected again. Four USB devices, and so on, connect as many as you can to connect all your home devices to a PC at the same time without any problems (note: up to 127 devices).
